A Case Report of Possible Idiopathic Normal-Pressure Hydrocephalus Patient

Abstract
|
|
|
Objective : The purpose of this study is to report the clinical application of accupunture, herbal medicine treatment to possible Idiopathic normal-pressure Hydrocephalus patient.
Methods : The Patient in this case has gait disturbance, urinary incontinence and dementia. his Brain Magenetic Resonance Image revealed ventriculomegaly with an Evans' index of 0.34. We treated him with Accupuncture and herbal medicine. And We We measured the state of this case by Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), Modified Bathel Index(MBI), Korean Mini-Mental Steatus Examination (K-MMSE), number of urinary incontinence.
Results : After treatment, MBI, K-MMSE increased, while NRS, number of urinary incontinence decreased.
Conclusions : According to this study, traditional Korean medicine is effective for improve suspicious idiopathic normal-pressure hydrocephalus patient's ability.
